We currently have an exciting opportunity for the role of Women’s First Team Manager to lead our club in the Genero Adran Premier.

ROLE: WOMEN’S FIRST TEAM MANAGER VACANCY
LEVEL: GENERO ADRAN PREMIER - TIER 1
REMUNERATION: NEGOTIABLE (PART TIME)

Background:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for the role of Women’s First Team Manager to take on the challenge of leading our club in the Genero Adran Premier League, the top division of women’s football in Wales.

Barry Town United currently has one of the largest female setups in Wales with over 240 registered players with an extensive player pathway through to our senior section. The club has an outstanding track record of player development in the female game, with over 40 players progressing into the Wales national junior/youth teams and FAW Academy over the past 10 years or so.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a progressive and experienced manager to lead our club. The Manager would work alongside a team of dedicated staff consisting of coaches with vast experience within the female game who are qualified to FAW/UEFA A & B Licences level. Support staff would also include a specialist Strength & Conditioning coach, Goalkeeper coach and a team of Analysts. The Manager would also have the latest GPS technology at their disposal.

Job Purpose

  • To have overall management of the squad, including planning and delivering 2x weekly training sessions (Tues & Thurs), selection of match squads, delivery of post and pre-match analysis, responsible for the development programme of the team and individual players and ensuring that player conditioning is maintained.
  • To liaise with colleagues as appropriate to achieve the highest standards for the team and club, including working with the General Manager to maintain the viability of the club in the short term and secure its future in the long-term.
  • Work closely with the Head of Youth in respect of the Player Pathway and building relationships with youth teams associated with the club. Must try to recruit the best players possible as well as developing the indigenous talent.
  • Ensure that the players and coaching staff abide Fair Play and all other Codes of Practice at all times.
  • Be the main contributor for any media quotes in respect of matches/ player recruitment etc.
  • Attends meetings, events and training on behalf of the Club as is required and is proactive in personal Coach Education Development.

Person Specification

Suitable candidates must:

• Hold an FAW/UEFA A Licence or be a current A-Licence candidate
• Be able to attend 2x weekly training sessions and matches on Sunday’s
• Have experience within the female game (desirable)
• Be an excellent communicator, with strong management and organisational skills
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
