Barry Town Utd Women FC are delighted to announce the arrival of a new management team that will lead the club into a new era as we look to make continued progress in the top flight of the domestic game in Wales.

Joining us as new First Team Manager will be James Fishlock who brings great knowledge, experience and leadership within the female game having previously managed Pontypridd Utd, winning the Adran Premier Plate in the 2022-23 season. James also had a management spell in the English League system at Cardiff City Ladies, more recently known as Gwalia Utd.

On arriving at Jenner Park, James commented “I am really pleased to have been given this opportunity to become Head Coach of Barry Town United Women. The club is in a very strong position and that’s down to the work Stevie, Tony, the staff and players have put in over the last 2 years. Hopefully we can continue to work together to push on this season and the coming seasons ahead.”

Joining James will an additional coach in Jonathan Spyropoulos who is a familiar name to Jenner Park having previously worked with the club as Under 19 Women’s manager in the 2021-22 season before moving on to become the Assistant Manager at Pontypridd Utd whilst also more recently having a spell at Gwalia Utd.

On returning to Jenner Park, Jon commented “I’m very excited to be back at Barry, It’s a club that did a lot for me in the early part of my coaching career and it feels good to be back. It’s time for us to now rise up the table and achieve our goals.”

On the new appointments, Chairman Luke Williams added, “We are delighted to welcome James and Jon to the club who will both add significant knowledge and expertise as we enter a new chapter at Barry Town. James has great experience of team management within the Adran Premier and will provide great leadership whilst we also know Jon and his qualities well from his previous role at the club. We are excited to commence this new era under their management.”

Both James and Jon will be supported by our exsting team of staff that operate accross our women's pathway.

Our next fixture will take place on Sunday 26th October as we host The New Saints at Jenner Park Stadium with kick off at 2pm.
