Our U16 girls have reached the FAW Girls Cup final following a 6-1 Semi-Final win.

Barry Town Utd U16 girls have progressed into the final of the FAW Girl's Cup following a 6-1 victory against North Wales outfit, CPD Henllan.

The match, played at a neutral venue in Rhayader, Mid Wales, was setup to be a real cracker with two strong teams going head to head for a place in the national cup final.

Barry started the game on the front foot, and the opening stages saw the Linnets take control of the cup tie. Aliyah Hull netted a brace and Aimee Deacon hit the target to put Barry in a commanding 3-0 lead after 22 minutes. To their credit, Henllan continued to work hard and frustrate their opponents, but Barry were always a threat in the attacking half of the pitch.

As the game progressed into the second half, Barry took further command of the fixture, Deacon netting her second of the match soon after the restart, before Captain Tay Wynne added a fifth goal for Barry on the 60th minute.

The action wasn't finished yet, with Hull a constant menace throughout netting a third and completing her hat-trick goal to take Barry into a 6-0 lead. Henllan kept pushing and deservedly got a consolation goal for their efforts with a late strike from Alisha Whitehead-Hughes.

The result means that Barry have now reached a fourth final in six seasons and will take on Abergavenny for the trophy.
